te reo māori class
Ko te reo Māori te kākahu o te whakaaro, te huarahi i te ao tūroa.
The Māori language is the cloak of thought and the pathway to this natural world.
PictureAkomanga 6 - Kei te ako rātou i tēnei waiata e pā ana ki a Matariki
My Te Reo Māori lessons cover Whānau, Whakapapa, Pepeha, Āhua, Waiata, Kapa haka, Mihimihi me Tikanga.
Junior and Middle school classes all attend ½ hour sessions 3 days a week.

Children will be able to formally introduce themselves in Te Reo Māori
Ko Wai Au? - Who am I?
They will be able to recognise, understand and use familiar words about themselves and their whānau
māmā, pāpā, kuia, koroua….
Ko Karaitiana tōku ingoa

My goal for all tamariki - To be able to conversate in Te Reo Māori, even a simple greeting, introduction and how they are feeling.
Tēnā koe Whaea Karen
Ko Karaitiana ahau
Kei te harikoa ahau
Poipoia te kakano, kia puawai
